About Sex & Psychology & Dr. Justin Lehmiller
Sex and Psychology (established in 2011) is a popular blog and podcast that explores the science of sex, love, and relationships. What sets it apart from other sex blogs and shows is that science—not personal opinion—is front-and-center, and information is presented in a way that is educational, entertaining, and accessible to a diverse audience.
Sex and Psychology offers a form of sex education for adults. The goal is for readers to learn evidence-based information that they can use to enhance their own sex lives and relationships.
Sex and Psychology is run by Dr. Justin Lehmiller, a Senior Research Fellow at The Kinsey Institute at Indiana University. He is an internationally known sex educator and researcher, and author of the highly-praised, bestselling book Tell Me What You Want: The Science of Sexual Desire and How It Can Help You Improve Your Sex Life.
Dr. Lehmiller is an award-winning educator, having been honored three times with the Certificate of Teaching Excellence from Harvard University, where he taught for several years. He is also a prolific researcher and scholar who has published dozens of academic works. His studies have appeared in all of the leading sexuality journals, and he has published a textbook titled The Psychology of Human Sexuality that is used in college classrooms around the world.
Dr. Lehmiller is frequently interviewed by major media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. He is also a freelance writer with bylines in publications including The Washington Post, Playboy, USA Today, Vice, Psychology Today, Men’s Health, Politico, and New York Magazine.
