Join Me in NYC on August 8 For a Course on Getting the Sex Life and Relationship You Want

August 1, 2018 by Justin Lehmiller

Are you getting what you want when it comes to sex? Odds are, probably not. Most of us have sexual fantasies that we wish were part of our sexual reality; however, few of us have shared these desires with our partners, let alone acted on them.

Learning to communicate our desires is vital for maintaining happy and healthy relationships. Sexual communication has a number of benefits, from establishing greater intimacy and closeness to keeping passion alive for the long haul.

So how do we get what we want? Join me for a lecture and workshop at the V Club in New York City on August 8 to learn more. I will be teaching a crash course on how to break down the barriers to communicating about desire in a way that will help you to get more of what you want out of sex and to have more satisfying relationships.

What We Will Cover:

  • What is a “normal” sexual desire anyway? One of the biggest things holding us back from talking about our desires is the fear that what we want isn’t normal. We will begin by looking at the science of sexual desire because it can help us to redefine “normal” in a way that removes the shame, guilt, and insecurity that makes communicating about desire so difficult in the first place.
  • How do you begin a conversation about desire? We will discuss a range of tips and icebreakers that will allow you to confidently begin a dialogue with your partner.
  • How do you make the leap from fantasy to reality? We will discuss what you need to know if you’re thinking about acting on a sexual fantasy to increase the odds of a pleasurable experience for everyone involved.
  • Adult sex education: we will talk about the things you didn’t learn about sex and relationships in school that will help you to navigate common problems and challenges.

Event Details:

The event will be held on August 8 from 7-9 PM at the V Club in New York City (152 West 25th Street, Suite 602).

Tickets are available here. Space is limited, so reserve your spot now.
